I came across this time lapse film with breathtaking images of the northern lights. This film was made by Ole Salomonsen during 6 months of shooting in sub zero temperatures as low as -32 degrees Celcius! Check out this behind the scenes photo on flickr.
The film was shot in Tromsø and surrounding area in Northern Norway. Ole shot 50.000 stills to make this film. His goal was to try to preserve the real-time speed of the northern lights and in the video you see a collection of beautiful slow moving auroras.
He asked Tromsø based musician Per Wollen to create the excellent soundtrack for his film. This soundtrack, “Aurora in the sky”, can be found on iTunes.
